Traditional Kilt

If you wish to have a kilt custom-made available by a kilt maker in Scotland, we can help! There are more than 500 tartans designed for you to select from, including Welsh tartans and Irish County tartans.

Our knowledgeable staff will allow you to find a tartan, measure you for the customized kilt, and demonstrate our full array of kilt add-ons.

For a conventional hand-sewn kilt, customized towards measurements, costs start at more or less $800.00. This kilt is made of about 8 to 9 yards of 13 oz. wool tartan material.

For a machine-stitched "everyday kilt", tailor made to your measurements, costs start at roughly $500.00. This kilt is made of more or less 4 to 5 yards of 13 oz. wool tartan textile.

BUDGET KILTS

Things Celtic also carries a type of "budget kilts", produced from a heavy duty poly-acrylic blend fabric. These kilts have become well-built, and are also machine washable. The "budget kilts" can be found in a restricted quantity of tartans. These sell for only $120. Kindly give us a call to see just what sizes and tartans are currently in stock.
