Scottish nation Dancing is a kind of personal party that dates back hundreds of years, as a part of Scottish tradition and custom throughout the Renaissance. Performers are organised into 'sets' of three or higher partners arranged in facing outlines, or in squares, and move around in a sequence of formations decided by songs.

The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in Melbourne is hosting a special Introduction to Scottish Country Dancing class on Saturday, 11 April 2015. It really is ready to accept the general public, and free, ideal for all ages and ability levels. You can deliver someone along with you, or make brand new buddies at the time — its a social dance, most likely!Spend a great two hours learning about reels, including vibrant jigs and stately strathspeys, set-to the tapping rhythms of Scottish songs. The class is going to be exactly about launching newcomers to this standard dance, so thereisn' want to be worried about having two left feet.
